Where to find meals for Mother’s Day 2020 at Inland Empire restaurants

Most years, Mother’s Day fills 87 million seats in restaurants, according to the National Restaurant Association.

This year, the dining industry’s No. 1 holiday is going to be very different.

With business disrupted by the novel coronavirus pandemic, many full service restaurants where folks likely would have taken mom are closed, as are related businesses such as wineries and casinos.

Few restaurants in the Inland Empire have announced special Mother’s Day menus for this Sunday, May 10.

Many local restaurants, however, are still open and serving meals for takeout or delivery. For example, South Coast Winery is reopening its Vineyard Rose Restaurant for weekend curbside pickup this Friday. Its to-go menu includes entrees, salads, desserts, wine and beer, but nothing labeled specifically for Mother’s Day.

If you want to see if your favorite restaurant is doing anything special for Mother’s Day, try checking its social media pages. Some restaurants have been posting their menus there, but not on their main websites.

Here are some of the Mother’s Day offerings that have been announced for the IE. Most require pre-ordering by at least a day, and some have earlier deadlines.
