How to make Hash Browns on the Grill

This is just the overview so you can see what you’re actually getting into here. When you are cooking, you’ll want to use the full recipe at the bottom of the page.

Fire up the grill and get it nice and hot! We’re shooting for at least 375°F. 400°F is fine too if you have something else you need to cook at a hotter temp.

Spread the grease over the pan and dump the hash browns on the pan. Sprinkle with seasonings.

Put the pan in the grill and let them cook. Flip after about 15 minutes or so and cook the rest of the way until they are as crispy and browned as you like.

Taste and season more if they need it, and enjoy with the rest of your barbecued breakfast!

Traeger Grilled Hash Browns FAQ

Can these be made in advance?

Yes! But they are so easy to do, you wouldn’t really NEED to make them ahead of time. With prep that includes dumping stuff out of a bag and tossing it into the grill, it doesn’t get much easier than that!

What’s the best way to store and reheat the leftovers?

I store these in a big freezer baggie and then reheat in the microwave or saute in a pan with some butter on the stove. Easy stuff!

Are there any suggested additions or substitutions?

Yes! Want to change it up? Add in some diced onions and peppers to the pan!
