The Morrison is the first hotel in Ireland to join the Curio Collection by Hilton, in acknowledgement of its unique character and style. This rebrand has now been enhanced by an extensive refurbishment throughout the reception areas and rooms with a strong emphasis on the hotel’s artistic vibe and rock ‘n roll character. Famous Irish song lyrics still adorn the bedroom walls, but there’s something contemporary and cool around every corner, with new Irish art, furnishings, décor and floors.
Under new ownership since 2021, a recent investment of €4 million has transformed the guest experience, guided by the award-winning interiors expertise of NODA (Nikki O’Donnell Architects), with art curated by Art Loves.
The colour palette across the interiors is muted, with an emphasis on earthy tones, with interest created by the use of subtle metallic sheens, which bounce the light. This creates the perfect backdrop for the vibrant artwork, decorative items, impressive light fixtures and the pops of colour such as deep oak, Manhattan grey, burnt orange and tan in the furnishings.
The ever-popular Morrison Grill and Quay 14 overlooking the Liffey, welcomes regulars, locals, guests and tourists with a fresh, seasonal food and drinks offering with an emphasis on provenance.
At the helm is General Manager Patrick Joyce, who leads a dedicated team that have been with The Morrison for many years.
