Basketball Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo is selling his Atlanta mansion.

The listing comes just months after Mutombo began treatment for a brain tumor in Atlanta. In October 2022, the former center’s diagnosis was made public and his family asked for “prayers and good wishes.” Since that time, no news of his condition has been reported.

Mutombo’s massive 11-bedroom, 10.5-bath mansion is on the market for $6.8 million. Offering over 13,000 square feet of living space, it sits on a 2-acre parcel.

Lofty ceilings and a huge entryway with double staircases greet you upon arrival. The living room features a fireplace, and the library has gorgeous built-ins for all your books. There’s a very large island in the kitchen, which includes professional-grade appliances and a double oven.

Additional fireplaces grace the sitting rooms and primary bedroom. In that primary bedroom suite, you’ll also find a department-store-level walk-in closet and a shower for two.

Standing over 7 feet tall, Mutombo swatted away shots and wagged his finger for 18 seasons in the NBA. He was a four-time Defensive Player of the Year and an eight-time All-Star.

He retired from the NBA in 2009 and later became known for his humanitarian work, starting an eponymous foundation that works to improve health and education for the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
