Check Out Avril Lavigne’s $6.5 Million Shermon Oaks Mansion

Avril Lavigne was born in Belleville, Canada in September 1984. She has created quite a name for herself in both the music and acting industry with her career starting at the young age of 15 when she appeared with Shania Twain and by 16, she had signed on with Arista Records for two albums. Her music has made a real impact in the “Pop Punk” genre of music, and such an impact, that she has been dubbed, “Pop Punk Queen” by many critics and in many music publications. Lavigne has sold over 50 million singles worldwide during her young life and over 40 million albums. It goes without saying that Lavigne is sitting pretty when it comes to a posh life, and here’s a glimpse into just how posh. Lavigne has a $6.5 million dollar Sherman Oaks Mansion that’s as elegant as it is homey looking. The home boasts 10,000 square feet of living space that includes six bedrooms and 8.5 baths and sits on just one-half acre of property.

Take a look inside Lavigne’s $6.5 million Sherman Oaks Mansion.

Entry and grand staircases

Lavigne’s home has all the natural light you can imagine with all the windows you could want, including spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows in the family room that sits just beyond the dual, elaborate staircases in the entryway. Something else you see dual of, are the dual two-tiered chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings. The room is done in neutral tones, including the neutral toned fireplace that really gives the room a warm and cozy feel.

Kitchen

Beautiful hardwoods span the entire kitchen and informal family room where a large screen TV encased in a beautiful bookshelf and entertainment console sits on the far wall and can be seen from the kitchen and eating area. The kitchen is completely set up for cooking fantastic meals. It is outfitted with all the latest stainless steel appliances, a Viking range, sub-zero refrigerators and a large walk-in pantry. The large island is multi-functional with room for working to prepare meals, including a sink, storage and space for eating at the end. Beyond the island is a matching marble-topped table with matching chairs.

Master bedroom

There’s lots and lots of space in the master retreat. All hardwood flooring and large area rug with neutral tones sits on one side of the room, while an entire sitting area is directly across. Multiple sets of French doors make up the end of the room and allow for beautiful views and tons of natural light to make it feel welcoming. The room also has a large walk-in closet, spectacular master bath, and a private staircase that leads to a private office and a home gym.

Attic area with full bar

What a great space to hang out in with friends and family. This attic room is designed with beautiful picture windows for up high views. A full bar is done in all wood with a subway tile backsplash and lots of counter and drawer space. Behind the bar is a cozy entertainment area with stone fireplace. It’s the perfect place to get cozy-up with a drink or two, watch a game, or just hangout with friends in a casual setting.

Back covered patio

Here’s the perfect place to hang with friends on a nice, cool night, have a bonfire, and chill, comfortably. The large, stone patio has tons of space to break it up into different usable areas. There’s an area at the far end of the patio, set up for dining outdoors with a table and six chairs around it. And the beautiful sitting area, made up of over-sized outdoor furniture pieces that are set up around a stunning, rectangular bonfire pit. The pergola above the sitting area is open, but at the drop-of-a-hat, a motorized roof is available for covering guests dining or visiting on the patio. There’s no worrying about the weather when you have an option like that. At the far end of the patio, beautiful creeping vines create a garden-like appeal, along with a few potted plants set about the patio.

Other amenities include a beautiful home-theater that sits above a three-car garage, and along with the home-theater are a lounge area and a bathroom, making the space completely comfortable and functional for hosting guests for a movie night. Outside of the home, though the property size is small, it is a corner lot it’s not only beautifully landscaped, but it is completely fenced, and gated for privacy and protection.
